  • VisualSVN - Issue

I have posted a question at VisualSVN user group in regards to reverting delete operation on an item in a project. The workaround is very much manual, and feels wrong. At this point I was either able to revert the change for the deleted file only and manually add it to the project, or revert both deleted...

  • iTunes and iPhone...

Why is iTunes one of the most widespread, annoying, unresponsive but still CPU-munching program out there? Probably because you cannot sync your iPhone without installing it... It's amazingly bad and Apple has to do something about it. There... feels much better now, but I'm definitely getting closer...

  • ASP.NET postbacks and URL rewriting

ASP.NET Web Forms extensively use postback mechanism in order to maintain the state of the server-side controls on the web page. This makes it somewhat tricky to perform URL rewriting for ASP.NET pages. When a server side form control is added to the web page, ASP.NET will render the response with HTML...

  • Wildcard script mapping and IIS 7 integrated pipeline

The big benefit of IIS 7 integrated request processing pipeline is the fact that all the nice and useful ASP.NET features can be used for any type of content on your web site; not just for ASP.NET-specific content. For example, ASP.NET SQL-based membership can be used to protect static files and folders...

  • National Do Not Call List for Canada, well... not really

Today they launch the National Do Not Call list in Canada, a bill that was passed 3 years ago but it's taken this long to build the service (guess they don't practice Agile in their software delivery process). From the looks of the service you might be jumping for joy thinking all those annoying calls...

VMWare has released the 6.5 version with some nice updates (better USB support, Bluetooth support, DirectX support, and last but not the least - Unity feature. • How to Update Google Chrome

So you've downloaded and installed the beta of Google Chrome and found that that Ajax story of Chrome isn't the best? You're thinking that the Google guys must have fixed it by now and you start looking for news related to Chrome on *.google.com but finds nothing... a bit frustrating to me at least....

  • Google Chrome and Facebook...

...is just not working as it should. There are major Ajax problems in that browser. I know, it came out like this week, but they talk much about the rigorous testing they go through and how Chrome should work well on popular sites . Well Facebook should count as quite popular I guess. I'm sure it'll...

  • Sorry, Deleting Your Account Can Not be Done Easily at the Moment

That's the message I got from the people at a free wiki hosting site when I asked them to terminate my account. I'm thinking their wiki-system is either a mad hack with database dependencies all over the place, or they just want to keep their member count up... They told me to "go to Account settings...

  • Off the grid

I’m taking a bit of some downtime in the British Columbia for the next week so no blog or project updates. I’ll be on email/twitter/facebook intermittently via my CrackBerry (wherever there’s reception) otherwise I’ll be back sometime next week with new and exciting adventures in the digital land.
